Fire Cupping: Ruth Lacayo L.Ap is classically trained in the Art of Fire cupping.
Fire Cupping is a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine where heat is added to a glass cup causing a vacuum effect when applied to the skin. The cups may be placed on the body and left in one spot for an amount of time or moved around on the skin in a gliding motion. The marks often associated with this practice are painless, and give the practitioner an insight of overall health. Especially pertaining to the health of the circulatory system and lung health. Marks are discolorations and shouldn't be referred to as bruising. They slowly fade within 3 to 5 days.
